I love reading this types of books. That have kingdoms, and dragons and someone coming to save the day but yet fall in love.This is a story read I want to say about 134 pages. You can get yourself put within the story within a matter of minutes and follow the adventure that Prince Caleb and his friends end up taking.
When Prince Caleb ends up falling for the girl in town her father is not to thrilled. He is hateful, and his actions bring upon the dragon. The dragon that is destroying people and the town. It is up to Prince Caleb to kill the dragon without dying himself. He has to end the bloodline of the dragon.
I do wish this story could have kept going as I really enjoyed reading it.

I really enjoyed this book, written very well and flowed from one page to the next. I loved how you could feel the strong relationship between the animals and humans, and the fantasy lands that were created, very creatively written and pulls you in from the start.
Wow! I honestly loved this story! The main character Caleb was lovable and courageous. Rachelle led me on a memorable adventure leaving me wanting more! I longed for the dragons death but felt sorrow for him as well. I love a happy ending and Lachelle did not disappoint! This is the first book of hers I have read. I cannot wait to read the others! I recommend this book to all who like dragon stories and with a little romance thrown in. No I recommend it to everyone who likes a good read! Bravo Lachelle bravo!
Queen Lira does not approve of the arranged marriage for her son, Caleb and so they travel to seek advice from a witch. The tone of this story is very high fantasy which I enjoyed. It is a well-written tale. I was not getting too deeply involved in the characters. Since this story is short there wasn't a whole lot of back story for the characters. The description is good and not too heavily laden with adjectives, and idioms which can bog down the action. I thought the story was interesting and that it flowed well. It had the feel of a fable or fairy tale.
This book is Charming and suspenseful!. The characters are Awesome and the story line is fantastic. This story is of a young prince Caleb Who is sent on a quest by a witch. This quest will mode Caleb's future. Caleb is to venture to the town of Pardoux. When he gets there he disguises him self as a simple farm boy on an adventure to find his destiny. This quest will mold who and what Caleb will become. On this Quest Prince Caleb is to find answers to a symbol the witch gave him. Right before Caleb had gotten to the town a young woman with a birth mark of the symbol had been killed by a black Dragon. Caleb falls for a Young Maiden with the same birthmark she is the sister of the one that was killed. The young Maiden's Father is a evil and cruel Man. There is an old Man in the town who helps Caleb find a castle that holds the answers he needs. Will Caleb beat the Dragon and rescue the Young Maiden from her Father? Will Prince Caleb find the answers he need? . You will love this Charming and Magical Fairytale!.
Queen Lira is uneasy about her son’s arranged marriage to the Princess of Talon. Before it is to take place, she and her son visit a witch, who sends Prince Caleb off on a journey to a land stalked by a cursed beast. After a century of sleep, the black dragon has been awakened and terrorizes the town of Pardoux.
This novella is fast-paced and an easy read. It is easy to get behind Prince Caleb and the friends he makes in Pardoux. And it is even easier to sympathize with his love interest the abused Veronne Furnier. If you’re looking for a quick read to entertain you, I can recommend this one.
